If you’re involved in direct selling, which spans everything from door to door sales to jewellery and cookware parties, then there is a handy YouTube video courtesy of HMRC which explains your obligations here Don’t forget that if you are a Direct Seller and your tax affairs are not in order, HMRC is allowing you until 28th Feb 2013 to bring your account up to date and pay any tax due at the most favourable rates…if the taxman catches up with you after this date, you’ll be on the “naughty list” and could pay considerably more in penalties and interest.
