Lisa is running the Greater Manchester Marathon for Marie Curie Penarth

17 April 2015

Says Lisa: “In just a few days, I’ll be running my first marathon, a pretty big challenge which I have always wanted to attempt. This marathon – hopefully the first of many (!) – is particularly close to my heart as it takes me back to my hometown, Manchester. (I’m banking on that Northern spirit to spur me onwards!)

However, this is not just about the fulfillment of a personal ambition. There’s another good reason why I’m hoping to cross the finish line after 26.2 miles (I’m sure its that last 0.2 miles that’s the tough bit…?!)

At Evans Entwistle, we support Marie Curie, a wonderful charity that offers expert care, guidance and support to individuals with any terminal illness, and to their families. In the lovely seaside town of Penarth where we are based, we have an amazing Marie Curie Hospice which has provided palliative care and much love and support to thousands of patients and their families across Wales. This centre costs £3.9million a year to fund and is heavily reliant on the generous donations of the public – which is why I am asking for your support.

Any donations to our page https://www.justgiving.com/evans-entwistle/ will go directly to the Marie Curie Hospice Penarth, so please support us if you can.

Kind regards…and see you on the other side of 26.2 miles!
