Both QuickBooks and Xero have recently increased their software subscription prices. We want to explain what this means for our clients and outline the options available to you.
Software price increases
Both QuickBooks and Xero have increased their software subscription prices. As a result, clients using these platforms may see an increase in the cost of their accounting software.
We appreciate that keeping business costs under control is important, and we want to be transparent about how these changes affect you.
What do the price increases mean for you?
If you currently access QuickBooks or Xero through Evans Entwisle, your software costs may change in line with the subscription prices charged by the relevant provider. You also have the option to arrange and manage your subscription directly with QuickBooks or Xero.
Your software subscription options
At Evans Entwisle, we currently facilitate access to accounting software for clients who use our services. We are charged by Xero and QuickBooks for these subscriptions and pass the applicable costs on to you.
You can choose to continue with your existing arrangement through Evans Entwisle or purchase your software subscription directly from the provider. There are benefits to either approach, and the right option will depend on your individual circumstances and preferences.
Option 1: Continue through Evans Entwisle
We can continue to facilitate your software subscription, passing on the applicable costs charged by the provider. This allows you to maintain your existing arrangement with us.
Option 2: Subscribe directly
Alternatively, you can arrange and manage your own subscription directly with QuickBooks or Xero, with billing handled by the software provider.
If you would prefer to be billed directly by QuickBooks or Xero, please let us know. We can discuss the available options with you and help ensure your arrangements remain suitable for your accounting and Making Tax Digital requirements.
